The fight for free college tuition continues. And the Campaign for Free College Tuition is on the front lines.

That’s why on Friday our leadership team, endorsers, and volunteers will convene a Campaign for Free College Tuition Strategy Summit in Washington DC to review CFCT’s values and mission and to create detailed outlines and action plans of how to execute our strategies.  Our goal is clear: to tame the cost of college tuition and prevent further price increases that put a higher education out of the grasp of the majority of Americans.

We’ll be joined by the Honorable James Blanchard, the former governor of Michigan, and by Michael Castle, the former governor of Delaware and Congressman.  We will build off our discussion points that we created at our last Strategy Summit in August 2014, which included the creation of action plans that will accelerate CFCT’s efforts to help its vision materialize. We came up with the three goals of building public support for our plan, gaining federal support of free public college education, and State-level implementation of free college education. Since then, significant leg work has been done on strategies as to how tackle each particular goal. The Washington DC summit will be another milestone in CFCT's drive to make college education free for all Americans.

The rising cost of college tuition is a pervasive issue that intersects class, generation, and income level at the nexus of the American Dream. It is a dream of economic and social mobility, which thus far access to a higher education has proven the most reliable medium of bringing that grand dream about. To keep that dream alive and realistic we must make sure that a college education remains accessible.  Our cross-generational, bi-partisan coalition is committed to continue pushing on ahead with our vision of making college tuition free for all Americans, a vision that will benefits all Americans, present and future. Every day, with your support, the hard work of our volunteers, and the purpose of our mission, we get closer to achieving that goal.

To get involved, please sign your name to CFCT’s petition.

We can't do this alone!

Our goal is to make higher education a possibility for every American, without regard to their financial circumstances.

We have a lot to do and not much time to do it, so your support is critical for our campaign to succeed. It’s with your investment that we can fundamentally reform how higher education is financed in this country, opening the doors to a more equitable society.

If you agree with our goal, our plan, and the urgency of the problem, we ask that you give what you can to help us write the next chapter in our nation’s history of continuously expanding access to universal, free education.

The Campaign for Free College Tuition is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in the State of Washington in 2014 to educate parents, students, the higher education community, policy makers and taxpayers about efforts needed to fundamentally reform our nation’s system for financing higher education. This website and CFCT’s educational outreach activities are made possible through generous individual and foundation support.
