The Campaign for Free College Tuition (CFCT) invites you to a Southern Summit on College Affordability in Nashville, Tennessee This is the fifth of a national series of summits involving local, regional and national leaders in discussions on the success of promise programs like the Tennessee Promise. The Summit is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m on Wednesday, March 30, 2016. The event will prominently showcase the Tennessee Promise. Mike Krause, Executive Director of the Tennessee Promise, will provide an overview and outlining the program’s initial success. Randy Boyd, Commissioner of Economic and Community Development, State of Tennessee and Krissy DeAlejandro, Executive Director, TnAchieves will subsequently discuss promise programs as drivers of state and local economic growth. The Summit will also feature a panel with Dr. Kenyetta Lovett, Associate Vice Chancellor, Tennessee Board of Regents; Dr. Anthony Wise, President, Pellissippi State Community College, and a student discussing the Tennessee Promise on campus.
