CFCT Organizer: We need YOU to Get Involved in the Fight Now!

I am very excited to announce that I have begun working with CFCT full-time to ensure that we can make college tuition free, nationwide.

Coming from a working class family and being a first generation college student, education was a constant struggle. Even without the burden of tuition and other financial expenses, trying to navigate academics as a full-time student was hard.

While I was able to succeed in obtaining my degree, far too many of my peers were crippled by the stress of academics and full time job, just fighting to survive. We have entered an unacceptable cycle where graduating with student debt is the norm and dropping out of college due to the inability to pay is a regular phenomenon - this is not okay.

The reason I joined the Campaign for Free College Tuition is so that my children may one day be able to excel academically, become civically involved, and plan their academic futures without worrying about financial restrictions. It’s pretty simple: when students excel, America succeeds.

As a native Californian, I am excited to begin my CFCT journey where my own life journey began. There are many exciting things happening on the Golden Coast, including broad support from legislators, college administrators, and of course, the residents of California. We have the plan, we have the resources, all we need now is YOU. We need you to help us spread the word about CFCT and help us create a Promise Program near you. There are a variety of ways for everyone to get involved.

  1. Sign up here to volunteer for CFCT. No matter how busy you are, any time you can commit to CFCT makes a big difference.

  2. Be a digital activist for CFCT. It’s easy. You can share our Facebook posts, tweet our action plan to your friends, spread awareness all over social media! You can also help us identify others on social media that may be able to join our network.

  3. Email your local representatives and let them know why Promise Programs and free college are necessary for your community. We have talking points and all the other resources you need to become civically engaged. Just ask me for them!

  4. If you really have the time and passion to become a champion for higher education in our country, you can get certified as an official CFCT Ambassador.

    1. Being an ambassador is fun and easy. You will get to personally interact with me and the CFCT team as well as network with like-minded people in your area.

    2. As an ambassador, you will also have the opportunity to go to events in your area and participate in CFCT’s national organizing team programs, such as webinars and summits.

As your Organizer, I vow to work not only for my home state, but for the entirety of this nation. All of our children deserve the opportunity to go to college, and I want to help them get it.

So join me today in making free college a reality. You can sign up to volunteer now or email me directly at [email protected]. Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook or Twitter for the newest updates in higher education public. I look forward to working with you.Thank you for your trust and support.

Best Regards,

We can't do this alone!

Our goal is to make higher education a possibility for every American, without regard to their financial circumstances.

We have a lot to do and not much time to do it, so your support is critical for our campaign to succeed. It’s with your investment that we can fundamentally reform how higher education is financed in this country, opening the doors to a more equitable society.

If you agree with our goal, our plan, and the urgency of the problem, we ask that you give what you can to help us write the next chapter in our nation’s history of continuously expanding access to universal, free education.

The Campaign for Free College Tuition is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in the State of Washington in 2014 to educate parents, students, the higher education community, policy makers and taxpayers about efforts needed to fundamentally reform our nation’s system for financing higher education. This website and CFCT’s educational outreach activities are made possible through generous individual and foundation support.
